Johana Marcelina's story

Johanna is a perservering woman with hopes of getting ahead through her efforts. She is forty-eight years old. She goes out to sell ice cream of various flavors in the streets of Managua.

She is noted for her persistence in earning the money each day to cover all the needs of the four children she cares for. Her family is the reason to be better every day and to progress in her business.

She has chosen a Kiva loan with Micredito. The plan is to buy a refrigerator, flavorings, fruits, milk and the other inputs wholesale, for better savings in her business and to offer a variety of ice creams to her customers in the hot season.

In the not-too-distant future, she hopes to be able to open a shop of artisenal ice cream that will make a difference in the labor market.
