Gregoria's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped buy more sheets, women jeans, Colombian girdles and jewelry to stock up my business.

Gregoria's story

My name is Gregoria. I was born and raised in Guerrero, in a small village where the local economy was completely based on the fishing industry. We had to go fishing early morning and then sold our catches door to door in the afternoon. It was a hard life and my family - just as most of the other families in the community - barely made enough money to cover our expenses, but there was no room for improvement. However, it was thanks to this experience early in life that I learned the ins and outs of selling, and that is the knowledge that I built my business on. I now have my own retail business selling at the flea markets, at my house, and door to door, but my goal is to open a storefront one day. Overall, I am very happy with the way my life has turned out and I think I have been able to make the best with what life has given me and I have improved my situation. However, my dream is to be able to buy my own house, because when I was a kid, my family and I lived in a very small house, and buying a house is the ultimate proof - and the end goal - of the way I have improved my life and those of my family.
