David's story

David O. A. is thirty-nine years old. He is married and they have five children between the ages of twelve years and four years old. They hope to give their children good education to university level. His wife helps him in the running of their business. Davids business is located at Kakamega in a very busy market. He has been selling doorlocks, padlocks, chains, forks, iron boxes and other items in his hardware store for the last six years. Besides the hardware store, he runs a taxi and he also does farming. His major customers at the hardware store are farmers and shopkeepers. David says his major challenge is low sales and the farmers who are not able to pay their debts on time. However, he works very hard from early morning to late evening to ensure that his business is running well. In future, he wishes to buy many vehicles for a transport business. He is very hard-working, ambitious and patient.
