'ana's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy pandanus and mulberry for her weaving and tapa-making business, and also to help renovate their house.

'ana's story

Meet 'Ana. She is a 45-year-old mother of four from the Western area of Tongatapu. Her husband is the town officer, and they live at their own home.

Her business is weaving and tapa-making. She does her weaving on her own at home, while she joins a group of tapa-making women in their village. They only conduct the tapa-making once a week, while she does weaving almost every day. She is planning on hiring more people in the future to help with her weaving.

When she finishes with her weaving, she sends her products overseas for more marketing. As for her tapas, she decorates them herself and sells them out, but not all of them. She saves some for the family's future needs.

Shown behind her is their house that she wishes to finish renovating with some of the money that she borrowed. Her vision for the future is to educate her children to the best of her ability.
