Marilou's story

Marilou, together with her family, is residing in Gabaldon, Nueva Ecija. She is 39 years old and happily married to Joel, an Overseas Filipino Worker. They are blessed with four children who are still pursuing their studies.

To earn a living and to support their children, Marilou manages a variety store in front of their house while her husband is working abroad. This has been the source of their daily needs for almost six years.

She has had a good repayment record in Alalay sa Kaunlaran (ASKI) Inc. for more than two years. Marilou has been granted a loan amounting to PHP 20,000 under ASKI's water, sanitation and hygiene loan program. Her loan will be used to buy cement, tiles, steel bars, hollow blocks for fully furnishing her comfort room. Marilou's dream is to have a better life and for her children to finish their studies.
