Total loan: $700

Kitale, Trans-Nzoia County, Kenya / Agriculture

Joyce's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy certified seeds and high-nutrient fertilizers to expand her crop farm and use the increased profits to elevate her standard of living.

Joyce's story

Joyce (65-year-old mom of five) is a woman with an unending desire to achieve. She hails from a remote village in the Kitale area of Kenya, where farming has been embraced as the primary economic activity. She is a committed and devoted farmer who entirely depends on farming. She used the proceeds from her agribusiness enterprise to educate her three children.

In the modern world, agriculture has become exceedingly dynamic, therefore making the kind of inputs that are being used in the sector today upgraded. On this note there is need to use improved farming inputs for effective production.

Joyce is seeking a loan of 70,000 KES, which she will use to buy certified seeds and high-nutrient fertilizers to expand her crop farm.

By scaling up her business, she will relatively reduce production costs and increase output. Her strategy is to use the returns from the investment to pay for more farm inputs, a lack of which is a major problem that leads to the closing down of many farms due to poor quantity and quality of yields. She will, therefore, be able to increase her profits. This will elevate her standard of living.

Kindly give a Kenyan farmer an opportunity to change her life.
