Makhakhane Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support
A loan helped to purchase the ACE 1 energy system in order to access solar power for lighting, charging, and cooking in a way that is safer, cleaner, and saves money.
Makhakhane Group's story
Majobile is a 52-year-old woman who lives in a multi-bedroom house, with 6 other family members, including 5 children and her husband, and without access to electricity. Majobile relies on her husband's support and struggles with multiple fuels and food. She spends the most amount of her energy expenses on candles and wood, which costs up to 178 LSL per month. She also spends as much as 1 hour per day gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs like phone charging. The region this borrower lives in is very beautiful and she is glad that she will contribute to reduce local air pollution. Majobile and the other members of the group in this village each bought the ACE 1 cookstove to help them save the money they spend every month on fuel, and also help them access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices any time for free. The ACE 1 clean cook-stove is biomass and solar powered. For more information on the ACE1 cook stove please visit www.africancleanenergy.com and Facebook @African Clean Energy
