Helena's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy beans, ginger, and onions from small farmers in her community and sell them at the market to increase her income and her family's well-being.

Helena's story

Helena is a 31-year-old Mozambican woman. She is married and lives in Manica with her husband and their lovely daughter.

Helena is a dedicated wife and mother who loves taking care of her family. She works hard along with her husband to provide goods to their single daughter.

Helena produces veggies to sell such as onion, garlic, and ginger. She travels to the nearest villages to collect veggies from other small farmers and thus supply her clients.

Since the demand for her products is increasing, and Helena is not able to produce the amount needed herself, she needs to buy more crops from other farmers to make her activity sustainable.

This is why she is requesting a Kiva loan to buy common beans, ginger, and onions from other small farmers in her community and sell them at the market to increase her income and her family's well-being.
