but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay for farming inputs, such as certified seeds and high-nutrient fertilizers, to improve her output, make more revenue, and thus raise the living standards of her family.

Jane's story

Greetings from Kenyenya, Kenya!

This is Jane, a 56-year-old mother of four, who is a picture of beauty with a captivating smile. She is the true definition of a hard worker and happy mother.

Jane grows crops and engages in dairy farming. She produces milk and eggs for commercial purposes as opposed to many rural farmers who produce for subsistence. Jane also grows maize for food and sales. These commercial activities place her in a better position to engage in other agricultural businesses, which she does.

Jane dreams that through farming she will be able to pull away from poverty and see to it that all her children successfully complete their studies. She is a visionary and keen to ensure that she keeps on progressing.

Juhudi Kilimo, in partnership with Kiva, has extended its services to the remote areas in the Kenyenya region of Kenya. Its staff is keen to ensure that hard-working women like Jane benefit from loans that enable them to purchase farming inputs.

Jane is seeking a loan to buy farm inputs such as seeds, fertilizer and herbicides. Your loan will enable her to improve her production through the use of quality farm inputs. Through this intervention, she will be able to improve the quality of her farm products and attract more buyers.

Support Jane during this planting season and make her life bright!
