Rahat's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to purchase dairy cows in order to increase her volume of milk sales to a factory.

Rahat's story

Rahat is 39 years old, married, and has three children. Rahat has a secondary education. Since 2008, she has been involved in animal husbandry and growing crops as the primary source of income for her family. Thanks to Rahat’s hard work and her spouse’s help with the farm, at the moment her farm has four cows, 200 sheep, 28 horses, and a 2.65 hectare farmland allotment where she grows beans.

She has a contract to supply organic milk to a local factory for further processing into dairy products. This allows Rahat to continuously invest in her agricultural business. Learning that Rahat can get a loan at Bai-Tushum Bank secured by a contract for future supply as part of the value chain, she applied for a loan in the amount of 150,000 KGS in order to purchase dairy cows to increase the volume of milk sales. Payments for milk from the factory will directly transfer to Rahat’s bank account, while payments for the loan will be automatically deducted. The proceeds from the loan will help Rahat to develop her farm and give her children a quality education.
