Wendy's story

Wendy is 25 years old, is single, is a teacher and is also a business woman. She works as a teacher in a school in the area where she lives and she has a small corner store where she earns extra income in addition to her teacher's salary. She began working at a very young age in her parent's business. Upon finishing her high school studies she entered the university where she continues to study, pursuing a degree in literature. She is asking for a loan from Kiva's field partner FUNDENUSE in order to buy cement, blocks, and sand, etc. to build a latrine in a new home that she owns in the urban area. She plans to rent out the home in order to have additional income. Her next goal is to finish her degree in order to officially have a college degree in literature. As a future goal she would like to start another business.
