Emerita Del Carmen's story

Emerita is married and lives with her family, which is comprised of her husband and their dependent children, ages 18, 17, 16, and 15. Emerita works selling beverages and pupusas, a business that she has run for the past 15 years; she currently works alone. Through this business, she is able to earn an income with which to contribute to her family's finances. She benefits from the fact that she has many customers who prefer her products. However, she faces the challenge of being located in a zone with a lot of competition.

She will use this loan to purchase assorted beverages and corn to make pupusas, so that she can expand her inventory and continue working. This investment will allow her to increase her sales. One of her concerns is losing customers to her competitors.

Her goal is to open a pups stand in the center of the city to increase her popularity and generate greater earnings.
