Magreth's story

Magreth is a 37-year-old married woman with five children, living in a community in Honiara, capital of the Solomon Islands.

Magreth runs a small business selling cooked foods such as rice and chicken soup, fish soup, sweet potatoes and taro in her community and at the market. She has been in this business for three years.

Magreth has requested a loan to pay for additional stocks of chicken, sweet potatoes, rice, oyster sauce and cooking oils, in order to cook more foods to sell and to assist her in running her business. She plans to use her profits to meet her family's weekly expenses and help pay for her children's school fees.

Magreth joined SPBD in 2019 to gain access to financial services for her business.
