Elena Margarita's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy a computer for her granddaughter who is studying optometry at the university.

Elena Margarita's story

The city of Portoviejo suffered an earthquake on April 16, 2016. It is a city rich in the production of vegetables, legumes, and tropical fruits for internal consumption.

Elena is 65 years old and a widow. She has three children, all of whom are now grown, although one still lives with her as does a granddaughter. They live in a home Elena owns.

Elena is retired, but continues forward by selling products from catalogs, including Avon, Belcorp, Ibel, Cyzone and Esika. She sells beauty products, cosmetics, perfume, women's accessories, and new cellphones that she brings when she travels outside the country. She makes her sales visiting the homes of friends and family, from two to three hours a day. She leaves her products on credit, and collects payments every eight days. She also sells over the internet and WhatsApp. She sends pamphlets, and her customers choose the products they need.

With this new loan Elena will buy a computer so that her granddaughter who lives with her can continue studying at the university and can do research and tasks. She is studying optometry. Elena's dream is that her family continue in good health, that her granddaughter become a professional, and that Elena can continue helping her in all ways.
