A loan helped to buy some vegetables for his wife to run her own pickle-making business.

Majed's story

Through out his work in a coffee shop, Majed benefits from a limited income to cover his family's living needs. He is a 33-year-old Syrian refugee father of two children who is working in Lebanon since 2012 after escaping the war in his hometown.

Due to his low social and financial status, his wife decided to start her own business to help him in covering their expenses. For this reason, he is acquiring a loan from Kiva's field partner Al Majmoua to buy some vegetables for his wife to run her own pickle-making business.

The striving father wishes his wife a prosperous business hoping that they can together cover the increasing expenses of their family.
