Sarah's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy farm inputs such as fertilizer and quality seed so as to improve her tea crop production.

Sarah's story

Meet this nice woman, Sarah, seen here in her tea field. She is 36 years old, a mom of two children and a true example of an “iron woman.” Sarah farms tea and does so not only for its income but also for the opportunity to make her own decisions.

The living conditions in the Kerugoya area where Sarah lives are not for a fainthearted woman, but Sarah is motivated to succeed. She works selflessly because she loves her family more than anything. Because of the firm way she brings up her children, she is obliged to maintain her home and run her farm with equal discipline. She wakes up early and goes to sleep very late every day. She has never abandoned her responsibilities, even in times of great difficulty.

Although Sarah’s farm is profitable, not everything has been easy for this humble and industrious mother. It has not been producing much of a harvest lately due to a lack of fertilizer, good seed and the presence of pests and diseases. So, Sarah is seeking a loan to buy them, as she lacks the capital to do so. With these inputs she will be able to grow a more robust and productive tea crop.

You can help this hardworking mother to accomplish her dream to give her family a decent standard of living. A loan will get her a lot closer.
