Agua De Illimani Group's story

Señora Dora represents the Agua D. Illiman group which has twelve members, eleven women and one man. They are from the same neighbourhood and are sociable, friendly, and very united. Señora Dora is married; her husband’s name is Eusebio. They have a daughter and work on a daily basis to support her. Dora is a businesswoman and runs a shop selling basic food items. She also has telephone booths in her home which she owns. Her husband works in transportation and has his own minibus which he is paying for in installments. Some members of the group run businesses selling furniture, clothing, vegetables, or food. Others make items such as ponchos, shawls, gloves, woollen stockings, and another is a locksmith. This loan will be used to buy merchandise, supplies, material, and tools which will help to generate more income for the members’ families. The members have a lot of business experience, and in spite of the stiff competition in the marketplace, they do their utmost to adapt and sell their products since their families depend on the money they make. As for their experience with group credit, they are on their second loan cycle with this institution so they know how to manage the funds. Their administrative skills mean that the loan will be used to support the expansion of their businesses.
