Metrine's story

Metrine, a repeat borrower, is a hardworking mom. She is pictured above holding one of her children.

Metrine is an ever-smiling mother from a rural village in Bungoma. This region is famous for good weather conditions that favor horticultural farming. She is 28 years old and blessed with cute children. Metrine is very determined to give her children a bright future and has begun to do so by sending them to a good public school. This is a good gesture in improving their prosperity.

Metrine started crop farming few years ago as a way to improve her family’s standard of living. Her desire to get ahead is commendable. Despite the obstacles she has experienced, she does not reduce her effort.

She is seeking a loan of 100,000 KES to buy seeds so that she can improve her crop farming to meet the demand for crop products and improve her children's living conditions. Metrine wants to reap more profits by taking advantage of her area's favorable weather patterns, good road network, good soil, and the ready market for crop products.
