A loan helped To purchase more charcoal and eggs to sell.

Comfort's story

Comfort sells charcoal and eggs. Charcoal is made from burnt wood and very dark in color. It is mainly used for roasting and cooking food. Some people prefer the use of charcoal to firewood. She goes to villages in Lagos State to buy charcoal and sells in the city where she and her family live. She purchases eggs from the poultry farmers and sells at retail prices to her customers at their business place. She is very hard working and determined. She does these businesses with the help of her children. She hopes to help her husband sponsor their children’s education. With the proceeds from her businesses, she can care for her personal and family needs. Comfort is requesting a loan of NGN 170,000 to purchase more charcoal and eggs to sell. Comfort is 48 years old, married and has four children who are presently in higher institutions of learning. She appreciates all Kiva lenders for their great support.
