Nkubu, Meru County, Kenya / Agriculture

Mary's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to hire land so that she can improve her farm production; then this woman with a history of valor can support her family.

Mary's story

Get to know Mary, a mother of four children who is very determined to succeed. She is a woman with a glorious history of valor, perseverance, courage, and the ability to overcome extreme adversities. She lives in a small and humble village in the Nkubu, a remote area located on a gentle plain before the ascent into the central highlands of Kenya.

As the key breadwinner for her family, she has been practicing mixed farming for the past five years. Her primary sources of income have been milk, and crops. Mary is seeking a 170,000 KES loan to hire land so that she can improve her farm production and profits so she can ensure that her children graduate from school.

With the hired land she will be able to plant more different varieties of crops. It takes a lot for a smallholder farmer to risk limited resources to expand a farm business. With your help, Mary will be able to pay the high costs of the farm inputs necessary for expansion.

A significant portion of the profits will be ploughed back into the business to fuel growth as she sets a good foundation for her children. She really hopes for your help and contribution. Mary is thankful in advance.
