Sanga Catholic Savings&credit Group's story

Safina, aged 47, is married with five children, four of whom are schooling. She is a member of Sanga Catholic Savings&Credit Group where members guarantee one another to access loans for development. She is a farmer involved in banana and bean growing, forming her major source of income. She supplements it with production of dry beans and ground nuts for additional income.

Safina has been in the farming business for 25 years now and she does all her developments in Kyenjojo, Uganda. She works hard to get enough money to look after her family as well as educating her children, but the changing prices of agriculture products and seasonal changes are affecting her business of farming. Hence, Safina is requesting a loan to buy bean seeds and ground nuts to sell.
