Lanieta's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy raw materials for making tapa [a traditional decorative cloth].

Lanieta's story

With seven mouths to feed, Lanieta supplements her husband’s income by making masi, which is the inner bark of the mulberry tree that is used for making tapa, a traditional cloth. The sun-dried bark is soaked and beaten into a thin pulp before being turned into a finished fabric.

Lanieta could increase her output if she had the capital to buy more raw materials, which is how she will use her loan. She hopes to generate enough cash to ensure that her children receive the care and education they need.
