Melanie Vanessa's story

Melanie Vanessa Colombia is a single 18-year-old woman who resides with her parents in the town of Soledad.

She is an entrepreneur who started a business selling sundries and merchandise since from the time she was very little she helped to tend to her mother's business. All this experience she gained prompted her mother to support her in starting her own business life. Because of Melanie's charisma, the business is very prosperous and profits are very good.

This young lady is very diligent, responsible, dedicated and well-rounded. She divides her time between her business activities and her studies. Her main customers are her friends, family members, neighbors, passersby and people in the neighborhood whom she serves from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. Her mother is her greatest support as she helps her run the business while she is at the university.

Melanie Vanessa is currently applying for a Kiva loan, the first financing she is doing with the Fundación Mario Santo Domingo organization, to purchase multipurpose items, sweaters, stainless steel accessories (necklaces, earrings, chains, bracelets and anklets), kitchen towels, towels for personal use, etc.

Melanie is a visionary who is always setting challenges for herself. She would like to increase her inventory with innovative merchandise that her customers request in order to have a more appealing supply so she can attract new customers and increase her profitability.

Please support Melanie in her loan! It will be a success.
