Lakshmi's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support
A loan helped to purchase more stock of oil, flour, sugar, and spices in order to expand her grocery store.
Lakshmi's story
Lakshmi is a 49-year-old married woman from a small village of North Dinajpur district, West Bengal. She has a family of five members and a monthly household income of 8,500 INR. She owns a grocery store. She purchases several daily use products and eatables such as oil, flour, sugar, spices, soap, etc., from the wholesale dealer and sells these at her shop. The grocery shop is the main source of household income and the income is barely enough to cover the family expenses. She plans to purchase more stock of commodities in order to make more profit and increase her income. Hence, she has applied for a loan of 35,000 INR from Grameen Shakti, one of Milaap's field partners. She and her family will be thankful to the lenders for their support.
