Futhoane Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy the ACE 1 cookstove.

Futhoane Group's story

Makalo is a 77 year old man who lives in a traditional hut without access to electricity with three other family members, two children and his wife. Makalo relies on farming and struggles with school fees as he spends the most amount of energy expenses on paraffin and candles, which cost up to 144.50 LSL per month. He also spends as much as three hours per day gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs, like phone charging. He said having ACE 1 will help him save money to educate his children.

Makalo and the other members of the group in this village each bought the ACE 1 cookstove to help them save the money they spend every month on fuel and also help them access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices any time for free.

The ACE 1 clean cook-stove is biomass and solar powered. For more information on the ACE1 cook stove please visit www.africancleanenergy.com and Facebook @African Clean Energy
