Spurs Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy the ACE 1 cookstove.

Spurs Group's story

Mathabo is a 26-year-old woman who lives with her child in a traditional hut without access to electricity. She relies on her husband's support but struggles with home improvement, as she spends the most amount of her energy expenses on paraffin and gas, which cost up to LSL 226 per month. She also spends as much as one hour per day gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs, like phone charging.

She is very excited about owning an ACE 1 because it's going to help her save a lot on expensive fuel. With the money that she is going to save from using the ACE 1, she wishes to build a new house and improve her standard of living in the process. Her husband is a taxi driver and doesn't earn much; therefore, the ACE 1 will come in handy. She also hopes more people can know about this great product so they change their lives for the better.

Mathabo and the other members of the group in this village each bought an ACE 1 cookstove to help them save the money they spend every month on fuel and also help them access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices any time for free. The ACE 1 clean cookstove is biomass and solar powered.
