Karen's story

Meet Karen again.

Karen is a hard-working farmer from Agarak village. Karen lives with his elderly mother, wife, and two school-aged children (ages 7 and 12).

Karen works as a driver at a local copper-molybdenum combine. Aside from that, he keeps bees. Karen chose beekeeping as a hobby because it is not only a source of healthy honey but also a good return on investment. Agriculture is the family's main source of income.

Having an idea of expansion in mind, Karen decided to apply for financial assistance. The family wants to diversify the farm by purchasing pigs. This will surely help them to reach a wider market and increase the income from the sales of agricultural goods.

Karen is hoping that the efforts he puts into his work will give a good push towards a better and more sustainable future. He will be able to modify the lifestyle of the family and assure a proper education for his two school-aged children.
