Samuel Grupo: 1 Group's story

Ena is a Haitian immigrant who went to the Dominican Republic with her husband 15 years ago in search of better living conditions. The difficult situation in the neighboring country of Haiti forces many of its citizens to leave for other countries in search of better growth opportunities.

Since she was 16 years old, Ena has sold clothing such as dresses, skirts, pants, footwear and other things on the streets. She states that her friends motivated her to start this business and up to now it has generated income to help her support her family.

Ena was not able to finish school and only went up to the eighth grade. But this has not prevented her from working and helping her family. She dreams of having her own house one day and seeing her family prosper.

She needs your help to buy new merchandise and stock her clothing business so she can continue selling and generating income.
