Sakhr Group's story

Tawasif is the featured borrower of a group loan for Sakhr Group that is comprised of two Syrian refugee women who left their hometown and have resided in Lebanon for many years.

She is a 36-year-old mother of six children. She is working in agriculture to provide her big family a good income to cover their increasing needs.

She decided to run her own business to benefit from an additional income, so she joined with Nehme to acquire a loan from Kiva's field partner Al Majmoua. She will use her loan share to buy a collection of clothes for starting her new trade business, especially during the times when the agricultural season is not too profitable.

Nehme is the lady on the right of the picture, and Tawasif is the lady on the left.
