Gerardo Jose's story
Gerardo, 50, has struggled much. He lives in the Linda Vista neighborhood. Thanks to help from his parents, he was able to finish high school receiving both his high school diploma and technical certification. From a very young age he began to work in order to help support his parents because they were a very humble family. His first job was with the Banco Nicaragüense where he worked as an accounting assistant. Then, he got married. He and his wife had three children, who are now all adults. He has worked for 25 years and has helped his children with their education. He hasn't mananged to finish his house completely; it's still made of dirt and the walls need replastering, which he hopes to do in the short term. He always wanted a second career: law. Thanks to God, he completed it. What he wants to do now is offer legal and accounting consultancies in order to earn better income. He will use this loan to pay for the costs of getting his professional law title; this is a very expensive process and he does not have the funds necessary for this and to start working toward his new professional objective.
