Carla's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped me purchase materials/equipment, finance my advertising, and gain capital for my business.

Carla's story

I was born and raised in the Dominican Republic for about 5 years before my parent decided they wanted a better life move to the United States. I now live in Wisconsin where I was raised by both parents. I always had a passion for art weather it be sewing, crafting or painting. I would spend most of my time sketching pieces of clothing. I loved and enjoyed doing it so I decided after high school I would go to an art school. After graduating high school, I went The Institute of Art in Chicago where I majored in fashion design. Shortly after college, I had a chance to experience one of the hardest but most rewarding things a women could, and that was the birth of my first child my daughter Calia. After my daughter, I worked jobs and with every paycheck earned I put aside something. I knew I wanted to own my own business one day. So the idea of creating this business is rooted from my online shopping and the excitement on my daughters face when we receive a package on our doorsteps. So I decided why not be excited about something that is created just for girls like her. I wanted Calia to have something that would give her reminders that she is everything and to help have goals for herself. I would love to create boxes with necessary and sanitary items to send to girls that don't have access to them.
