Martha's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more pepper, vita, rice and other items to sell.

Martha's story

This is 46 year old Martha. She is a hardworking business-woman and is married and blessed with 6 children. All of her children are currently attending school while living at home. She runs a business where she sells pepper, vita, rice and other items. She has been selling for the past 10 years and has had no problem with her business.

Martha asked for a loan with BRAC Liberia, a Kiva field partner. She is seeking the loan to buy more pepper, vita, rice and other items to sell and increase her business in order to ensure she meets her customers' demands. Her love for her business continues to grow every day. She enjoys interacting with her customers because it enables her to grow her customer base.

Through her profits, she will be able to pay back the loan and improve her family’s standard of living. Like any loving parent, her dreams are to continue sending her children to school and to build a house. She says thanks for your support.
