Munyukadi Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy some sheep for resale in order to fund construction.

Munyukadi Group's story

Balakoro is the one holding the goat in the photo.
She is 58 years old and is a housewife. Her main source of income is farming livestock. She is married and has six children, three of whom are in school. Balakoro is one of RMCR's regular clients. Thanks to the previous loans, she was able to add to her herd of livestock, build a house out of corrugated iron sheets, and meet the needs of her family. Balakoro buys her livestock from the region's largest livestock market at very favourable prices, which allows her to resell them at her local market for a profit.
She plans to invest the new loan in rearing sheep. The biggest difficulty in this business is that some of the livestock dies after she buys them.
Balakoro is really happy about the partnership between RMCR and Kiva and hopes it will continue to be successful.
