A loan helped to buy raw materials to make hardware and tools.

Alcides Pichone's story

Alcides lives with his wife and 3 children, aged 14, 10 and 6. He's had a business making hardware and tools for 25 years. At this time, he tends to his business with the help of an employee. Among the products he offers are: machetes, steel bars, chisels, and other products.

Alcides learned to make hardware and tools when he was very young, with the help of his uncle. He used to help his uncle with his business. Alcides makes his products by hand, that is to say that he uses the agility of his hands along with coal, iron, and other equipment to produce the final product.

Alcides states that he will use these funds to purchase iron, coal, and oil (that he uses to temper the hot pieces). With these supplies, he can increase his production of hardware. This investment will be a great help to Alcides, because he will be able to stock up on supplies for his hardware business so that he can continue to work and generate income. One of his dreams is to grow his business so that he can have more income to better provide for his family.
