A loan helped to buy a computer.

Maria Jessenia's story

Montecristi is known for its handicrafts made out of toquilla straw, wicker, piquigua (the fiber of a tropical rainforest plant) and wood. They are also known for its Panama hats, which are recognized inside and outside of the country.

María is 34 years old, married, has two children ages 4 and 7, and they both attend to school. Her life partner is a courier for a private company, and they live in the house of her in-laws.

In order to help with the household expenses, María works selling clothing, footwear and costume jewelry. She goes out to sell door-to-door, in her locality and also from her house. She gives her customers credit and collects the money every eight days.

With this new loan she will buy a computer so that her kids can make consultations, homeworks, and practice with it. Her dream is to see them become good people and continue having good health.
