Total loan: $575

Hohoe, Volta Region, Ghana / Retail

Florence's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy stock of frozen foods for sale and to renovate her corn mill structure.

Florence's story

Florence, 40, is a wife and mother to 5 beautiful children. As her main source of income, she has a retail shop where she sells frozen foods. As a hardworking woman, she operates a corn-mill to earn more income to sustain her family. She has been involved in these activities for the past 14 years.

She says the beginning was tough because she had little working capital, but her honesty earned her reliable suppliers who give her goods on credit so she could pay back after selling. However, she lacks most of the goods that cannot be supplied on credit, thus the need for a credit facility. She has applied for a loan from Advans Ghana to purchase stock of frozen foods (chicken, fish, pork, etc.) and to renovate her corn mill structure to attract more customers.

She is hopeful that her sales and revenue will increase, thereby enabling her to adequately fend for her children.

She is very thankful to kind Kiva lenders.
