A loan helped to buy dairy cows to increase livestock numbers and sales of organic milk.

Gulira's story

Gulira is 34 years old, married, and has three children. Gulira has a higher education. By nature she is hardworking, ambitious, and enterprising. She knows how to run a farming business and is able to invest funds as necessary. Since 1990 she has been engaged in animal husbandry for her family's main source of income. Thanks to her persistent hard work and responsible approach to the business, and has managed to develop her farm to have three cows, 15 sheep, two horses, and 2.2 hectares of irrigated land on which she grows beans.

In order to further develop her farm, Gulira has applied to Bai Tushum Bank for a loan of 250,000 som (KGS) to purchase dairy cows to increase her sales of organic milk and income from breeding livestock. Gulira intends to use the funds from the loan to further develop her farm.
