Dennis's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped fund the production of promotional videos, social media marketing, and to establish our business office.
My name is Dennis Kerley, I am fifty-one years old and I grew up around Chattanooga, TN. My father worked in a factory on rotating shifts and my mother was a stay at home mom. The family was and still is very important to them and me until this day. We had a good life with all the basics we needed and lived simply as only my father worked outside the home so that my mother could raise me and my two younger brothers. I understood the value of money, and that it must be used responsibly and efficiently. This understanding is still paramount with me today as I build Ridespider as a company! As a teenager, I wanted to enter the military, so I helped petition for and found a JROTC at my high school. I loved JROTC and the leadership skills I was learning. However, at seventeen on a JROTC trip to Fort Benning, GA, I landed wrong after jumping from a forty-foot parachute training tower on a zip line. I developed several forms of arthritis from this accident and injury. Arthritis limited my employment options due to physical difficulties, I attended college and worked as a military career was no longer an option. Over the years I have volunteered in several capacities for Christian ministries, I have served as a Chief Radio Engineer and IT Manager / Director for a private Christian school. I believe all these experiences combined, helped me build the skills and determination to succeed as an entrepreneur. My disability has also given me the understanding that there are people with skills and abilities to do productive work but are passed over due to disabilities, I plan to give these people opportunities with RideSpider whenever possible!
