Betty's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped a single mom to buy quality farm inputs, such as seeds and nutrient-rich fertilizers, which will enable her to improve her production.

Betty's story

Meet Betty, a single, 34-year-old mom of two children. Betty is a rural smallholder farmer from the Chuka area of Kenya. She is living proof that hard work leads to success. Ever since she started farming, she has become independent and more skilled. Betty practices mixed dairy and crop farming.

The biggest problem that farmers from Chuka face is a huge shortage in terms of access to agricultural inputs, meaning that farmers' yields and incomes are far below what they could be. Juhudi Kilimo partnered with Kiva to provide financial services to smallholders around Kenya. Through these financial services, farmers from Kitale, like Betty, can now buy productive assets and important inputs for use on their farms.

Betty is seeking a loan to buy quality farm inputs, such as seeds and nutrient-rich fertilizers, which will enable her to improve her production. This intervention will help her meet the increasing demand for food in the market and, in the process, generate more income to repay the loan debt and improve her family's quality of life. She also hopes to improve the conditions of her house.

Please help this mother to accomplish all her dreams by helping her with a loan!
