Th-Maïmouna Group's story

This group of seven women belongs to a banc villageois that was established in May 2009. They live in the same neighborhood and work in close collaboration. They mostly work in retail.
Maimouna is forty three years old and standing on the right side of the picture. She is a widow and the father of three children, including a boy. All her children go to school.
She runs a restaurant in town and also sells clothes on the side. With the festival of Tabaski coming up soon, she is planning to invest in selling men and women clothes. She has a good experience of twelve years in this field.
She will buy men and women clothes that she will resell credit to her customers with whom she was able to establish relations based on trust and cooperation thanks to the high quality of products she sells. At the end of each month she comes to collect the payments.
The profits will be used to strengthen her savings and to meet her commitments with the banc villageois.
