Margaret's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy an additional dairy cow to improve her milk-vending business to meet the high demand in her area and support her family, which depends on her completely.

Margaret's story

The bravery of Margaret (a 36-year-old mom of three; among them two are school-going) has always been the voice of hope for her family, which completely depends on her.

Margaret resides in the Chuka area of Kenya, a remote town with harsh living conditions because of the bad terrain in the region. However, it is favorable for dairy farming. Margaret’s primary sources of income are from milk sales and a personal business she engages in to make ends meet. She has managed to take care of her family with her income from selling milk.

Margaret has always wanted to take care of another dairy cow, but a lack of capital has prevented her from doing so. She is now seeking a loan to buy an additional dairy cow to improve her milk-vending business. The cow she intends to buy is a breed that produces rich, creamy milk. With this cow, she will produce more milk, which will translate into more income. Demand for dairy milk in her area is high, but the supply is low. So, through this loan, Margaret is going to have more milk and comfortably meet the demand.

Margaret's vision is to keep even more dairy cows.
