Emily's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase a biodigester for her farm, which will produce biogas and organic fertilizer.

Emily's story

Emily’s parents acquired the farm where she currently works a long time ago. Her parents were farmers all their life and believed Emily and her brothers would look after and improve the crops on their farm since agriculture is what makes the world alive.

Emily knows that manure pollutes the planet and creates a problem of inadequate waste management. For this reason, she wants to invest in a Sistema.bio biodigester for transforming the manure from her three cows into renewable clean energy (biogas) and an organic fertilizer called biol.

Emily will use the biogas for corn production and during the pasteurization process. The biol can also be applied to the fodder crops for animal feed instead of chemical fertilizers, which is better for the animals and their production.

This loan represents 60% of the cost for a biodigester. The remaining amount will be paid directly by Emily.
