A loan helped to stock up on potable water to bolster her business.

Tuelewane Group's story

Ms. Catherine is a client of the microfinance institution Hekima and the president of the 'banc villageois' called “TUELEWANE”. She is 44, married, and the mother of fifteen children of whom thirteen are students, and two are not. Her husband is a teacher. A vendor of potable water, she has a distribution tank for water. Her husband provided the startup funding thirteen years ago. Later on, she requested a Hekima loan to support her business.

With this loan, she is going to stock up on potable water to bolster her business. The business challenges have to do with rainy periods and when the tank is out of order.

Her wish is to continue providing schooling to her children and to build a house for them. So, she thanks Hekima and its partners for supporting unbanked entrepreneurs.
