Munara's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy dairy cows in order to increase the volume of milk she sells to a factory.

Munara's story

Munara, age 27, is married and has two children. Munara has a secondary education. She has been engaged in animal husbandry and crop farming since 2012 as the primary source of income for her family. Thanks to Munara's hard work and her husband's help with the farm, her farm currently has five cows, 15 sheep, 10 horses, and a 2.7-hectare plot of land where she grows beans. Munara has a contract to deliver organic milk to a local plant for further processing into dairy products. This allows Munara to invest continually in her agricultural business.

When Munara found out that she could take out a loan from Bai Tushum Bank on security of her contract for a future delivery (as part of the "Value chain" product), she applied for a loan of 120,000 som (KGS) to buy dairy cows, with the goal of increasing the volume of organic milk she sells. Payments for the milk from the plant will be transferred directly to Munara's bank account, and loan payments will be debited automatically. Profits from the loan will help Munara in the future to develop her farm and give her children a quality education.
