Deuteronoma Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to use the ACE 1 to gain access to solar energy electricity and to save money spent on fuel to be able to provide food for her family.

Deuteronoma Group's story

Matjotji is a 57-year-old woman who lives in a multi-bedroom house, without access to electricity, with 4 other family members, including 2 children.

Matjotji relies on her the support of her husband and children and struggles with groceries. She spends the most amount of her energy expenses on mobile charging, paraffin, gas, and wood, which costs up to 480 LSL per month. She also spends as much as 1 hour per day gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs like phone charging. Given she doesn't have a stable job, with her children's support, her earnings take care of her grandchildren.

The ACE 1 cook stove is going to be of great use because now fuel prices will be of no concern to her and her family anymore. Matjotji and the other members of the group in this village each bought the ACE 1 cook stove to help them save the money they spend every month on fuel and also help them access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices any time for free.

The ACE 1 clean cook stove is biomass and solar powered. For more information on the ACE 1 cook stove, please visit www.africancleanenergy.com and Facebook @African Clean Energy.
