Annah's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to hire more labor to assist her on her farm so that she can improve her crop produce and make more income to support her children.

Annah's story

Hello, lenders! Meet Annah (pictured outside her shop), a 33-year-old farmer from a remote village in the Kitale area of Kenya. She farms on a small plot of land. Annah has dairy cows and plants different crops on her farm. Through agriculture, she has made her life meaningful, and she feels she is now deriving maximum pleasure.

After learning about Juhudi Kilimo, Annah has applied for this loan to hire more labor to help her on her farm so that she can improve her crop produce and make more income to support her 4 children. Unlike most microfinance institutions in Kenya that have imposed very complicated procedures in order to acquire funds that, thereby, discourages smallholder farmers, Juhudi Kilimo is working closely with Kiva to make loan acquisition for a smallholder farmer easy and convenient.

Through this intervention, movement of funds in the rural communities has increased, thereby alleviating rural poverty. Support a hard-working farmer in achieving her dreams today.
