Maria Concepcion's story

Maria is 41 years old and single. She lives with her sister and niece in Cofradia, Cortes. She has set up a business in her home where she sells food like fried plantains with chicken or ground beef, baleadas, tacos, enchiladas, and other dishes. She established her business eleven years ago and it is her main source of income.

Maria wants to stock up on ingredients, so she is requesting a loan from ODEF in the amount of 27,000 lempiras. She will use it to buy basic ingredients to make her food, such as rice, vegetables, meat, beans, corn, spices, and soft drinks. This will help her improve inventory and offer her customers more dishes.

Her goal is for her business to grow so that she can help her mother with her medical expenses and improve her household's financial stability.
