Alice's story

Alice, a 33-year-old mom of 3 children, is a noble, hardworking, honest, and humble farmer. She is a resident of the Maua area of Kenya. She is married and has many years of working independently, which she learned from her parents. She owns her own beautiful field with a spectacular view. She has a rock-solid family composed of her husband and lovely children.

When speaking with Alice, it becomes obvious that she is a very dynamic, hardworking, helpful woman and that everything she does is for her family's benefit and wellbeing. She has always strived to give her children a decent life. Alice makes money selling produce from her farm, including milk and crops. She enjoys plowing her farm and watering her plants.

With the loan, she plans to buy good-quality seeds and fertilizer, which will help increase soil fertility and productivity on her farm. Increased productivity will allow her to improve her quality of life and living standards.

Through her training from Juhudi Kilimo, Alice has learned about the culture of saving, and she plans to use the increased income to improve her farming. She wants to become a successful businesswoman and ensure a better quality of life and welfare for her family. She is very grateful in advance for having a chance like a Kiva loan.
