Masiva's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy resources helping her businesses of pig farming, weaving and tapa making, and also selling crops from a plantation.

Masiva's story

Greetings from Tonga. Meet Masiva, she's 57 years old and married. Her husband works in their plantation in the bush while she's running her businesses of weaving, tapa making, pig farming and also selling their crops from their plantation. They have seven children and six grandchildren.

Masiva operates all of her businesses. She applied for her loan from SPBD and used it as capital for her businesses.
Her children and husband help her. She sometimes hires two employees to help make her tapa, costing $50 per person.

She sells her tapa overseas and sometimes she just sells it at the local market. When she received her earnings, she use it to help her family as her priority and also for her loan repayment weekly.

Masiva is a hard working mother and she's one of SPBD's successful business women. She's running her business to achieve her vision of generating more income to help finish their new house, which has recently been built, and to start another new business to help her family.
