Hector's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped cover the costs of reclaiming a well and running electricity for use in the greenhouse and high tunnel on the farm's permanent home, as well as helps finish the rebuild of a walk in cooler on site.

Hector's story

I am an independent, hard working person, who grew up in the Dominican Republic. At a very young age I started working with my dad at his store and, later attended a graphic design school, worked free lance with a couple of friends and later started a small printing shop, working on different promotion and advertising related jobs. When I turned 23, I moved to the United States, at rst working different jobs, and also some of my own little projects like printing T-shirts I sold on the streets. I later got a job at one of the green market farmers markets in New York City and ended up working at the farm and became part of the new farmers development project. In 2002 I started my own farm business, CONUCO FARM. I have moved the farm 8 times, now that I own land I intend to finish creating my dream farm and community around this work.
